The Nostalgic Commandoes
See, this is why I don't start drawing without a pencil sketch. The Critic (whom I drew first) didn't come out so bad, but the rest range from blah to terrible, particularly since I'm not that familar with how they look.
The three on the bottom are MarzGurl, Sean Fausz a.k.a. HopeWithinChaos, and CR of "Familiar Faces", who has never physically appeared in any of his segments. The video they're referring to is this YouTube fanmade trailer for "TGWTG: The Movie".
Oh yes, and just to compound the fail, it's "Nostalgic Commandoes", not "Nostalgia Commandos". Burn.

Massagebot humanized
I've seen floating around the Net several different artists' visions of what the two main characters of WALL·E, WALL·E and EVE, would look like if they were human; one even threw in MO and AUTO. But when I watched the movie for the first time recently, a different character caught my eye.
This is the human version of the robot character named HAN-S, which I prefer referring to as "the Massagebot". In the film, WALL·E and EVE are taken to the ship's robot repair room, which is full of malfunctioning robots. One of these is HAN-S, a robot designed to massage the humans, that has a glitch causing it to use its powerful arms to flail and pound everything in sight. It thus has to be restrained, arms pinned to its sides; later, in a jam, WALL·E releases its arms, and the result is nothing short of a completely devastating assault on the Axiom's security warden-bots.
Ever since I first saw it, I envisioned the repair room as the robotic equivalent of a psyche ward. A makeup-bot, for instance, continuously applies makeup to anyone or anything near her/it; in a human, of course, this would be termed obsessive-compulsive behavior. The Massagebot is, naturally, a violent psychotic.
Please note that in the movie the robot is not, in fact, yellow and white, but this color scheme entered my head and refused to get out. Besides, you can only get so creative with white and off-white. The lightning streak in the hair was inspired by Freakazoid, another mentally unstable (but far more benign) individual.

Pixar presents: Christopher Nolan's "IncUPtion"
It's one of the most popular Pixar trailer mashup on YouTube, and now it has inspired me to create its own posters! iwantmyTVNOW's "Upception" video is extremely well-put together, particularly from a thematic perspective, as Up is a movie chock full of very surreal, dreamlike imagery (a competing mashup, using Toy Story 3 footage, fits the character dubbing better but I don't think it's as good feel-wise). Go watch it now, it's very addictive!

Ripped From the Archives: April 2009
None of this batch made it to print.
Drawn in response to the Olmert government wavering on Israel's "red line" policy of not releasing successful terrorists in exchange for prisoners--a line, ironically, crossed (in principle if not yet in fact) by the more right-wing Netanyahu government.
Ah yes, back from the days when the Israeli economy was actually an object of derision...
This one's one of my all time favorites. Avigdor Lieberman is far too illiberal for almost everybody's liking, and yet he heads the third-largest party in the Knesset and is the most tough-talking Foreign Minister we've had for years!

Today's J. Post cartoon
Took me over an hour of brainstorming, but I finally hit on the idea of an "explosive" theme to commemorate the annual release of Israel's Comptroller Report, which almost never contains any good news whatsoever.
