I've erased the Hebrew dialogue, just remember to "read" right to left (just like manga, except not). The Bar Mitzvah parsha, as you can see, was No'ach.

Today's jpost.com cartoon
It's not print, but at least I'm finally featured again by the Post after over a month of invisibility and a slew of cartoons that I really liked how they came out.
On with the show!
Day by day, week by week, the government's resistance to Hamas's obscene prisoner-swap demands crumbles.
On the plus side, I really like how this cartoon turned out visually.

A sketch page of mine
As you can see, my sketch pages tend to the messy side. Most of this one was used for my Linkara Corps drawing, comprising several characters and props; you can also spot the faces of Angry Joe, the Nostalgia Critic and the Spoony One from the same site. There are also little reminder notes to myself, the initial thumbnail sketch for my "Defiant" comic, sketches of Israeli President Shimon Peres and American JCS Chairman Mike Mullen, the dialogue for one of my political cartoons, a nose, a thumb, and perhaps most perplexing of all, the word "PARTICLE".

"Animorphs" teasers
Wouldn't it be cool if they made an Animorphs movie? Well, I have no idea. The '90s TV show was kind of a flop. But regardless, I had some fun designing and creating these simple "teaser" posters.

Shirt design: Golani Brigade
The above are the front logo and back picture, respectively, that I drew a while back for a friend of mine serving in the Golani infantry brigade. I finally got to see how they came out last week. The images utilize Golani's symbol, the olive tree. Lying under the hammock is the brigade's signature weapon, the Tavor assault rifle.
Plus: how the back picture looks on the shirt itself!

My name is Menachem Jerenberg.
I am a Jew from Beit Shemesh, Israel. I am Zionist on both my parents' sides. My father's Jewish, my mother's Jewish. I'm Jewish.
And to the Spanish-speaking anonymous poster who today tried to add a comment containing some disgusting anti-Semitic slurs to this post, culminating with "HITLER MIT UNS"--a corruption of the German phrase "Gott mit uns", "God is with us"--I have one thing to say:
That is all.

Commemorative bookmark
Gosh, does this one bring back memories. Particularly the painful kind when I look at my regular drawing style back then--those noses are not normal.
These were a series of six pictures drawn for a little contest held by a local elementary school, on the theme of "Honoring Your Parents". (Clarification--the school used them as part of a quiz, they were not a contest entry.) Each pic has its own significance. The whole group were then put on a bookmark and given out to attendees.

One year at the Post
Today marks the one-year anniversary of my first cartoon ever published in The Jerusalem Post!
It was a time of experimentation, a time of refinement of techniques, a time of change and hope WE CAN BELIEVE IN! And so on and so forth.
The less said about this one, the better. Literally. I really can't add anything you can't see for yourself except perhaps to explain to those not in the know that Roger Waters was a member of Pink Floyd, singers of the rock classic "The Wall", containing the immortal refrain "We don't need no education..."

Political cartoon about the Flotilla Incident
I can't just let this one slip away. It's too important to me.
Yet again, the Post has decided for whatever esoteric reasons not to print one of my toiled-over, freely given cartoons. Assurances to the contrary, their website still hasn't gotten around to reinstating their cartoon section. That leaves this blog.
Seeing as how this has been all over the news lately, I don't feel I have to explain this one. I think it speaks for itself.
